Laspotech 23rd convocation ceremony

The Lagos state polytechnic held her 23rd convocation ceremony for the award of National diplomatic(ND),higher national diploma (HND) and presentation of prizes for the 2012/2013 & 2013/2014 academic sessions today the 9th April, 2015 at the i new school of agriculture auditorium, ikorodu campus. The procession to the convocation arena started at about 10:00 am,then national anthem was led by d music band followed by laspotech anthem led by Mrs Olubunmi Adedoyin. after which the rector Abdulazeez Abioye Lawal gave his speech. various dignitaries were present also even as the governor of Lagos state his excellency,Mr. Babatunde Raji Fashola(San) represented by the special adviser to his Excellency on education Otunba Fatia Olukoga,Lagos state also gave his speech. Award of national diploma & higher national diploma commenced and was followed by the presentation of prizes in which the school of management and business management produced the best students overall with Ismaila Olatunji Akanbi of the department of accounting(nd) with cgpa 4.00 and Esther Ayoola Odunayo and Prisca Nneka Mbagwu both emerged as the best in the department of business administration with 3.90 cgpa respectively. valedictory speech was given on behalf if the graduands.the total number of graduants were 7045. Closing/vote of thanks by the registrar MRS Aderonke Olufunke Ige and the convocation Ceremony ended with the national anthem at about 12:30pm.
